It is not an exact science. As much as your family history can increase your chances of having postnatal depression other factors like your stress levels, your sleep etc can either increase it or decrease it. Being a new mum can be tough and peer pressure can make you feel like your not an A+ mum all the time. So, it's very important that you take care of yourself in those first few months. In fact, it is as important as taking care of your baby! Always be aware of your emotions and how you're feeling, surround yourself with help and good company and talking to someone if you're feeling low all the time.
I will say it is biological as this is due to hormone changes. One canβt help feeling depressed even though trying to stay positive. It will take time to go through it. Hubby and family members support are crucial during this period. :)

Hormonal. Plus some external causes. Like don't feel enough support from family. Anyway If u feel pnd. Please talk to ppl cause its real.
