Having Pets

honestly speaking, when people are asked for their opinions about havings pets during pregnancy is ok or not, answers will vary on the fact if the responderS are pet lovers or not. Same with OBs and pediatricians. I have two pediatricians for my son. First pedia from asian hospital says, hindi pwede ang hayop around the baby because by nature ayaw na ayaw nya ng mga hayop din and her explanation was mag allergy si baby. But the other pedia from st lukes says, yes pwedeng pwede. Babies can be exposed to pets as early as possible so that they get used to allergens. Babies will become more sensitive as they grow older if they are not exposed to allergens and are overly protected. Same goes with my OB, of course its definitely not OK to inhale the cats poop, what you can do is wear a mask. I am pregnant too and I do the same thing. You see I was born with a half lebanese and and 1/4 chinese blood and both sides have several severe allergies and mga sakit na kung ano ano. Asthma, skin asthma, severe sinusitis, urticaria and etc. grabe ang intense when i was a kid because my parents were overly protective of me and my sisters during those times. Now I did everything differently with my first born son. Because im an animal advocate, during mu first pregnancy, I never let go of my pets because I love them. So nothing changed. I was surrounded by 5 dogs and 6 cats at home. I gave birth and exposed my son to them. My son has my genes so its epxect3d for him to have allergies but wow he is used to the balahibos of my pets. He hugs them really tight and he doesnt get allergies. And whats good about it pa is my son is so lovable that when he sees stray cats or dogs he wants to give them food. pities them. He doesnt want animals hurt. Part of him being so lovable is because of our pets. Ny son is totally healthy now which is my opposite during my toddler years. Now onto my second pregnancy and same set up. Surrounded by pets.
