You can bake a cake together. Take them to zoo, adventure park. Take them to a factory visit in your city. They will also get a glimpse of how things work in a factory. If you want it to turn little informative along with fun, you can tag them along to a nearby bank, and show them how you operate your bank account. How money is withdrawn or deposited. Do some DIY activities, and post it online. It will not only engage them but they can also see how social networking works and how they to do things confidently as they can post it online for many to learn from them. https://www.buzzfeed.com/mikespohr/diy-projects-that-will-blow-your-kids-minds?utm_term=.sqQr73AnL9#.clQrDznGW8

Take your kids on a nature hike! There are plenty of awesome trails you can take your kids to; enjoy nature, get some exercise and lots of family bonding. Places like Hort Park, Hendersen Waves, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve are some places you can try out that are kids-friendly. Some sunscreen and a picnic will be an awesome way to cap the nature walk :)

Look for activities in the libraries. They usually have programmes for children during the school holiday and it's free. Else you can bring them to Parks or Malls that have playground. Try the museum too! They are interesting and the kids would learn something.

You can do some DIY or recycle crafts with your kids or can take them to those free playareas or water playground. If you love baking etc can involve them too.

I recently bake butter cookies with my son during the holiday! He enjoyed it so much!!!! Another activity is growing plants from seeds!

Prepare some light snacks or food, gathering some good friends and date them to go cycling and picnic in the park.

Look for malls. Most of them have free activities for kids. And not forgetting Airport T3.
