Hey parents! My sister is concerned that her daughter receives too much homework on a daily basis. What are your thoughts on a "zero-homework" policy? Do you think it could work for students?

I think it makes sense because the kid should be learning all he/she needs to learn at school. If they want to teach independent study, they should have allotted time for that at school. Of course, it would be best if your kid has something productive to do at home and doesn't just space out in front of the TV or something. (But older kids should have homework I think to prepare them for high school and college.)

In montessori schools, they don't give home works to students. Because, off school is meant for family time.
