Epidural dilation check

Is it okay to ask for epidural before dilation check after admitting to the hospital? Low tolerance for pain :(

Only in active labour. Cervix check is uncomfortable but try to take off your mind somewhere else or grab hold on the bed rail.

you can receive an epidural as early as when you are 4 to 5 centimeters dilated and in active labor.
