Is it ok to always drink ibuprofen if my lo fever keep maintaining at above 38.5 degree? When I let him drink it did become low but after 8 hrs it become high again so I just let him drink again. I'm not sure whether it is OK anot. I'm scared if his fever didn't subside. These few days keep seeing articles of hospitals give wrong medications to toddler when they have high fever. My lo cough and flu also 1 week not ok after gng to childcare. Any way to boost his immunity? Does chinese medicine Ling Yang help in reducing fever? I dare not give him cuz he is drinking western medicine

Some parents just give paracetamol, others do wat I did.. But each parents decide what's best.. To me, not recommended, cuz pd told me so..?? Babies tummy can't take it.. I know eat tat, fever will drop fast but listen to pd is better??

Brufen is not good if used too much paracetamol is a better option. Start with paracetamol every 6 hourly. And during the next feed is baby fever is higher than 38.5 then feed brufen. Otherwise just continue with paracetamol.

kkh adviced to give brufen if it hits 38.5 do not worry too much about the articles, if your baby is still active after medicine, usually they are fine, it is alarming only if fever shoots up above 40, or baby is lethargic

For me I always go with paracetamol unless the fever is higher than 38.5. Usually it takes both para and brufen to help bring down the fever completely.

I will recommend giving panadol first. after two hours if temp still above 39 then give brufen. too much brufen isn't good

thks all for the advice!
