Newborn 13 days keep crying for latching

my newborn can latch for half hour and the moment I put her down, she starts to cry. Tried to burp her im case colic, soothe her by carrying her but all these doesnt stop her crying. She cry so loudly until her face turn red. I have no choice but to latch her back again. This cycle can continue for many times as long as she is not sleeping. She used to sleep 2-3hours before feeding but now with this habit, she sleep at most half hour and keep crying till i latch her. Is it normal for newborn to behave this way? If everytime she cry i latch her, will i be overfeeding her?

Hi mummy my newborn is 16 days old and is the same too, just that he’s formula fed. He cries very long hours, even after being fed would cry and hate being put down. The only time he doesnt cry is when he’s drinking milk. Past few days on and off he would still nap but today was the worst, from morning till evening he doesnt still , or just 10 mins after putting down would cry again

yes mine also about 10-15mins cry again and ask for latching.
