LO keeps crying

My LO is 2 weeks transiting to 3 weeks. The past few days (we thought it’s growth spurt) she has been crying. I suspect she is overtired. How do you soothe overtired baby? She keeps showing hunger cues but actually sometimes she just needs to burp. She will cry and scream so loud, i tried to put her in my arms, rock her, try to make her to sleep but she just cant stop screaming. I am at loss now.. #firsttimemom However when the nanny took over, she is quiet for a while then cry again…… but with nanny she will continue crying on and off about 10 mins then quiet. If you think i didnt spend enough time with her, the answer is i always spend time with her from the moment she wake up until dinner time🥹#firstbaby

every baby have different patterns so have to trial and error but usually its the same few reasons why fussy: -hungry -diaper wet -wind in stomach -wants to get carried or pat backside bb sometimes get hungry way earlier than the usual timing. so when my hub and I tried all other methods doesnt work , usually feeding alittle milk solves it. my bb doesnt like even a little wet in diapers initially, so we had to keep changing 😅 tried all we could (burp in between feed, burp longer, massage , oil, tummy time) for wind in stomach but only works some days.. oh btw, tummy time is really good for wind in stomach. in the end we changed milk formula, same brand but different manufacturing country, no more issues. carry part, bb only wants me. and pacifier. reject my hub , reject yaolan. haha but is just for a period. now bb can sleep by patting backside while laying in the cot. its a phrase! jia you!

Thank you for the tip! What makes you change the formula though? Was bb constipated or smth? Can share the formula ur bb on now? I am currently mixing nan and similac. I find similac seems very thick compare to nan

Hang in there mummy. With newborn its really must trial n error see which method is best. You’ll figure it sooner or later. Both my kids were totally different from each other in terms on how to soothe them when they were newborns. But what I realise is its just most probably wind. Try to hold baby upright on your chest and gently tap ur fingers around the whole back. Avoid shushing or rocking, maybe just sway your body slightly. Best to remain calm, try to talk to someone while doing it so that you wont focus to much on the crying and maybe baby will also calm down while listening to the convo. Or Try walking around the house also. Most impt dont stress! I feel like babies can sense your emotions and the more you stress, the more they will cry. All the best! It will all be better don’t worry☺️

My boy was also tt fussy the first 2 months. Wanted to cling on me, or rather latch for comfort ALWAYS tt there was a pt of time I was stuck to the bed. Every time I've to go toilet he will cry. tried giving pacifier he didn't want at all. Even my mom/husband tried to carry him he would stop for a while but continued crying till I took him. We did whatever we cld frm burping him, massage his tummy, put oil and everything cz it cld be colic too but didn't work. I guess some babies need more comfort. I had the postnatal blues due to tt cz I was aching everywhere and having had csect, it made me feel even more uncomfortable. it only got better aft 3 months when baby cld sleep on his own without having to soothe him or latch before slp. So hang on Mummy, this phase will be over but meanwhile, stay strong!!

Somehow this sounds super familiar. Might it be a windy tummy? My baby kept on latching but we noticed bloated tummy full of wind. It gets better around the three month mark but i was so heartbroken looking at my baby cry throughout the evenings. They tend to drink more to soothe themselves but that also means more puking and the stomach gets more full. May or may not help to burp out air. Something similar was discussed here recently. https://community.theasianparent.com/q/what-difference-between-gas-colic-in-baby-how-i-determine-what-symptom/4779615?d=mobile&ct=q&share=true

my LO is 3 weeks old. she was also crying so loudly in her 2nd week. we increase her milk intake by demand. soothe her gassy tummy and burp a lot. still trying to learn to understand her cries. mine also cry super loudly with her diaphragm. jiayou momma you are not alone.. #firsttimemomtoo

Are u on formula? Mayb not enough breast milk. Try to top up with formula. If ure feeling back on not providing full breastmilk, pls don’t. My LO is 2 months now, he is drinking 150-180ml per feed, my breastmilk only produce 20-30ml per breast. Still working on it 🥲

I mix formula and breast milk, yeah i am not so anal about it most impt is baby eat full full and sleep well. Mummy, when i pump every 3 hours i only have 30 ml combine BOTH side, but when i pump every 4-5hours i have 90-120 combine both sides. So now i just stick to 4-5 hours, like that we wont be too tired and stressed about it too:)

hi, I am experiencing the same with my newborn too. he is 4 weeks now and will keep displaying hunger cues. however, he does not sleep well even after the feed unless we carry him. how do you know yours just need to burp? quite lost on what to do too

Tried to latch and bottle fed her. She refused and cried even louder. Put her into burping position and just keep trying to burp her after she burps, she is quiet😂 But i still have no idea on how to manage her when she is overtired

try baby wearing of it helps.. but sometimes fussy is no reason.. try to comfort and make baby sleep even 5 mins before giving food, because over tired also will be hunger cues, put hand to mouth is also self soothe.

Consider giving pacifier. Gentle rocking with humming of nursery song. I got a yaolan (baby hummock) to help her sleep in the day.
