Vaccine

Do we need to give paracetamol to prevent fever after vaccine or can we do without? Should we take the optional vaccines too? Thanks!

Give the paracetamol only if baby develops fever. I let my daughter go for the optional vaccines (rotavirus-most common cause of diarrhoea in kids, pneumococcal-to prevent serious lung infection, chicken pox). To me, very worth it

The nurse/dr will advise accordingly during each vaccination (at polyclinics). The 2nd dose hep B at 1 month wont cause fever.

Not all children will have fever after vaccination hence don’t have to give paracetamol if there is no fever.

Be careful of high fever . Do monitor the temperature and give the appropriate fever medicine
