My son is a very fussy eater. I'm thinking of putting him in a day care centre but am worried no one there will be able to give him the attention and time for his meals or be able to prepare a variety of dishes like we do at home. Any experience mummies?

Children act mainly on peer pressure once they are in daycare. In the early days/weeks in daycare, your child may refuse to eat or maybe choose his food. But do let the teachers know in advance the situation that you are facing at home. So that they are able to have a little more attention on your child. Prepare an extra feed of milk just in case he fully rejects all the meal time in daycare. Secondly, also tell your child that his friends is enjoying the daycare food and he should try it too. (End of the day, ask him what did he have in school, creating a conversation will let him have more courage in trying out the food) Always check with the teachers upon pick up to see his progression on food intake.
