What you described are very common side effects of injections and immunizations. It usually passes in a day or two. You can apply a cold compress to the injection site to alleviate the pain as well bring the fever down. However, if fever persists after days and goes beyond 39degC, best to bring baby back to the doctor. Also watch out for major side effects like convulsions, seizures, unresponsiveness and unconsciousness.
