My friend's daughter is 10 months old and is teething. Her appetite has gone down and she is also losing weight. Any advice for her on how to cope with loss of appetite because of teething?

Yes. Its completely normal. I feed my baby chicken broth. He liked it and he loved to chew on the noodles. Teething tablets are also a big help. Freezing a washcloth and giving it to ur baby also might help. As long as ur baby gets plenty of fluids ur baby will be fine. Stay away from fruit. Diarrhoea is common when a baby is teething. Also always have a bib on ur baby if he's drooling and wipe his chin a lot. The drool will cause lil pimples on his chin. Good Luck :)

Teething does affect a babies appetite but babies also seem to go through stages where they wont eat much. My friend's baby who is 13 months and teething is going through it right now. My friend is using some teething tablets for the same.

Try frozen fruits? We used mushed strawberries in a fresh food feeder, put them in the freezer.
