Here's a useful article on sitting up: http://www.whattoexpect.com/first-year/sit-up/ It was mentioned in the article that usually, by 6 months old, a baby would have developed the neck, upper body and back muscles required for sitting up without support. That being said, it is not uncommon for some babies to pick up the ability to sit at around 9 months of age. You can try encouraging your baby by propping her up into a seated position in an a stroller and bringing her for a walk. Point out things that are interesting that she can now see from her seated position. The article also suggested having lots of practice and using toys to help. Have a read at the article. Hope it helps! :)

Don't worry, baby can sit on her own by 10 months without support. You can help by training them to sit in highchair 1st. Ikea high chair is good to train there, the height with table and support is good, if too much space, put a pillow behind to give her more support to prevent her slide down.

don't worry, some babies can stand before they can sit up. if she can crawl, she will eventually sit up by herself by moving her backside downwards from the crawling position.
