It is surely not advisable to let your dog lick your baby. The best would be to try and train your dog to stop licking anyone at home so that he automatically stops licking the baby.

it would be best to keep an eye on your kid to make sure dogs which you're not familiar with, lick him. The danger is of course, if the dogs bites your kid.

I would train and teach the dofg that the behaviour is not acceptable. I wouldn't allow the dog tolick me either. My dogs have been trained.
