Milk will usually kick in day 3-5 initially latching is to stimulate the the breast to produce milk. Continue with the latching. If you are still in the hosp, get the nurses to help you. They are free of charge since u are still in hosp.

Yes it is normal. Have you tried applying lanolin on your breast. Cabbage helps as well.
