Infant care

Hi mummies! My LO is currently going to be 7 months old in a few days time. All this while, i’ve been her caretaker and she’s grown so attached to me. We spent 24/7 together. Work’s starting soon and today was her 1st day at school and she seems okay but i know that’s because i was there the whole day with her… i’m so nervous as i won’t be able to be there with her in ifc after this. I’m not sure how she’s gonna adapt because she does not want anyone else but either me or her dad. She’ll cry murder if she don’t see us. Anyone experience this with your LO and any tips?

Perhaps during her first few days have yourself 1/2 hr in the centre and thereafter during her activity like feeding time, play time or nap, you be away from her. You let the teacher handle her. It will take time but ask the teacher to have her blend in and get use to the environment. Trust the teacher, give tips to teacher on how to handle your LO and let it flow. Sooner later your LO will be able to get use to everything around like teachers and friends.

Today is mine first day of school. I (cry) more than him. Haha Cos I spent 24/7 with him. Normally kids who “recognise” their parents will cry when the parents leave. And after awhile they will be ok. This will go on for a few days to weeks. But sending at 7 months is surely better then 18 months or so cos they will settle down easier usually. Jiayou!
