Rants

Hi mummies, im currently pregnant at 11weeks. I found out on my pregnancy only when i was about 10weeks, and has been going around for interviews during that period. I was offered as a Senior Sales Assistant at one of Singapore's well known Retailer, but have been worrying as i'm still on my first trimester and i also understand most companies will turn away pregnant ladies even if i were to keep applying.. Yet at the same time, i need to work and sort things out with my fiancé as this is our first pregnancy together. We are trying to find a home that is suitable for both of us and the baby, renting a room/studio from Owners is too pricey and we have so much concerns like the baby cries or the tenants/owners wont be comfortable.. I have e-mailed to HDB to see if there is anything they can help us with.. Deep down i know that my fiancé is also stressing out, he needs to care for me & the baby and at the same time save while he's only working as a delivery food rider. There was quite a few times he told me that he met with an accident while on the road.. Its been worrying and stressing me out that we've been arguing almost everyday now. ?

Oh no. Hope you’re feeling better! :-( As for houses, maybe try studio apartment? I remember seeing prices as low as $1.6k for the entire apartment. And seek help from MSF! I believe they will be more than willing to help

Hello Mummy Dee! After telling my fiancè on my worries etc, he has assured me but i am still worrying as time is running and we still havent found a Suitable home. Thank you for checking anyways! We thought of Studio apartments, however our main concerns is that we will not be able commit with the Rental as ive checked its 1.5k and above. My fiancé earns about 500-700 a week, im afraid our total living cost will cause him stress. However im still waiting for a good reply from HDB.. All we want was a comfortable living for the baby. As for MSF, my family has applied for financial assistance with them. Thanks for your advice! ❤

Honestly, HdB is no big help to get house faster, but u can try to see if they have rental houses available for low income families so you can stay until your baby arrives and you’re able to return to work.

Well, you have to try as this is the only other option next to rental.
