I’ve wondered about this before, too. When I had an abortion in Singapore because of a health condition with Dr Jen Shek Wei, I asked about it out of curiosity. The hospital doesn’t do anything unusual. The foetal tissue is handled the same way as other medical specimens. It’s disposed of safely and respectfully according to medical guidelines. Patients usually don’t have to be involved in that part unless they specifically request something different. It’s not really something they go into detail about unless you ask, but that’s generally how it’s managed.
