Is week 39 too late for elective c-section?

have u check with ur gynae? i not sure is it too late. but seeing many of my friends who gave birth naturally at 37/38 weeks, i think 39 maybe abit late. im gg for elective csec too. deciding to do it at 38 weeks. but i heard tt if u need to deliver earlier than scheduled date e.g starting to have contractions or water bag burst, u can still proceed with csec. lol

just checked with my gynae today. she said if labour earlier than scheduled csec and i continue to choose csec, it will be considered as emergency csec :( so she said she will schedule me 1-2 weeks earlier than edd. any day aft that will be too late
