Sleep and nap time

Hi mummies, how do you put your 5 month old baby to sleep? Do you still carry and pat baby to sleep for naps and bedtime?

My 5mo baby can only sleep when he latches, won't even sleep when carried or rocked. Tried to train him to fall sleep on his own by putting him in the cot but he'll cry so hard. A few times I let him cry and eventually he'll fall aslp on his own aft 15-20mins. Breaks my heart every time I hear him cry but no choice cz I've to go bck to work soon ):
