Parent volunteer

Hi mommies... I would like to ask some questions . Coz Its my new experience to apply my first son to p1 next year. How to apply as PV in our son school that we want to enroll? Is it true must apply 1 year before n minimum have 40 hours. ? But when I called n email one of primary that i choose. They told me I can apply as PV after my kid enroll to their school. Please give me advice. Thankyou

To qualify for Phase 2B, you must: Be registered as a parent volunteer with the primary school not later than 1 July of the year before P1 registration. Give at least 40 hours of voluntary service by 30 June of the year of P1 registration. You can contact the primary school directly to enquire about its parent volunteer scheme. But it is important to note that there is no guarantee of a school place even if you perform the required hours of volunteer work.
