Hello mga mommies! First time mom here! Napapaisip ako kung sa private hospital ba ako manganganak or maglying in ako. Nag iipon kami for private hospital pro napapaisip ako na pag lying in makakatipid kami at the same time makakabili pa kami ng gamit ni baby. hi. ok lang naman sa lying-in if dun ka din mismo nagpapa monthly check up and kinausap mo na sila na yun ang plan mo para ma-assess din nila if kaya ka nila paanakin dun. meaning, hindi high risk ang prenancy mo. otherwise, ask your OB kung saang hospital siya affiliated and do a site visit so you can ask beforehand kung ano requirements nila :) skl, i chose to give birth sa lying-in clinic because of covid, parang malaki ang exposure kung hospital. sa clinic para na rin naka private ako kasi ako lang ang patient that time, meaning naka focus lang sa akin ang OB ko at midwives, walang limit ang time ng visit, di ko na rin need magpa swab test before being admitted, i only stayed 1 day, and yes naka save monetarily. ok naman ako at si baby. ultimately its your choice but i suggest to communicate your plans with your OB para malaman mo if its feasible and if that would be the best for you and your baby. good luck and havva safe delivery

is that the same OB who knows status of your pregnancy, if so she should be able to answer your questions and help you be at ease with your decision na sa lying in. the clinic should also be prepared na dalhin ka sa hospital should the need arise. no, i was not required to undergo rapid or swab test to rule out covid. probably kasi dun ako nagpapa check up since week10 of my pregnancy kaya alam nila history ko. but i think hindi talaga sop sa mga lying in ang magpa swab before admission. i could be wrong, though.
