I have not heard of Kayu Sepang. I think it is a Malay Remedies. I tried to searched from internet but can't get much information. People in Singapore normally will purchase a chinese herbs called Huang Qin (Radix Scutellariae) from medical hall to boil (turns water into yellow color) and bath the baby to cure jaundice. Some people called it Ng Kee too. I used the Huang Qin for my kids too when they are young. The effects are not significant though. What I did was nursing as frequent as possible to flush out their 'toxic' through pee and poop.

Yes, it's common amongst the malays, in english it is called Sappan Wood.. you need to boil the herbs for 20 mins till it turned orangy, reddish yellow. and add on with warm water n bathe him day and night. Don't use soap. Try it for jaundice - anything that might help reduce bliburin levels. ;p

thanks
