contractions?

Last night I woke up to some serious abdominal pain a few times, my stomach was hard and I couldn't move! It was in the middle of my abdomen but went away after a minute. This is my first pregnancy and I'm 29 weeks. When should I worry and call my doctor? Or is this just my body getting ready for labor
