Hi ladies, any recommendation which breast pump to buy ? Those with a separate motor ( which is heavier ) or those with the "motor " cum together with the handle ( those travel lite version) that can use either battery or power supply? Thanks ya

i have two types of pumps. It boils down to how frequent are you going to pump. If you are intending to exclusive breastfeed by pumping, you would need a heavy duty motor to last thru the heavy usage. I would recommend spectra S1, it's hospital grade pump. durable for very frequent pumping. If you are pumping for maintence or clearing of breast, a lightweight portable will be a good idea. spectra has S9 and M1. both are lightweight and portable. Able to use built in batteries or plugged in for batteries.

Hi, i also recommend spectra s1 for home/office use and s9 for outdoor use. Because s1 is bulkier with a separate motor but a hospital grade pump - it is really heavy duty and can clear boobs well - good investment for the long run. But it's really inconvenient to lug it around - so I got the s9 for when I am on the move - everything can fit into a smaller bag and lighter too. It is best to go for those with built in battery (both have it) so that power will never be a issue that might catch u off guard

Im using spectra. Using the separate motor one at home and the travel lite version in office and when i go out. It's really much lighter. And not all nursing rooms come with power sockets. However, it seems to me tt the suction of the travel version is not as strong as the separate motor version but it still serves its purpose.
