My baby's ears and naval seems very dry. Is it ok to put some drops of oil in his ears and navel?
It is actually not advisable to apply oil in the ears as there is a risk of infection. You may hurt his eardrums and there could be complications such as soreness, pain, itching and sometimes, loss of hearing. Not to worry, your baby will naturally produce ear wax which is a protective layer against germs, dirt, and water too. As for the naval, you are supposed to keep it dry until the cord falls off.
