I'm trying to get into more filipino indie or just locally produced films. What movies would you recommend? I'm not a fan of cheesy romance or heavy drama. lol. :)

If you are into thriller films, I am recommending you to watch "Silong" starring Rhian Ramos and Piolo Pascual. It was actually a Cinemalaya entry directed by Jeffrey Hidalgo that later on transitioned to a mainstream film after it was released by Star Cinema. I had the opportunity to watch it during its Cinemalaya premiere and indeed, I was left in awe because of its quality and unpredictable ending. I am rating it 9.5/10!

1st ko si 3rd is a lighthearted dramedy you might enjoy. :) It tackles the timelessness of true love but it's not cheesy. It stars veteran actors Nova Villa, Dante Rivero, and Freddie Webb. It's by a talented young director, Real Florido.
