I'm currently staying with my mother in law. I was planning to do 100days instead of 1st month because I feel have more time to prepare and would be easier in terms to booking venue and stuff. however, my mil is against the idea and insist on celebrating baby's 1st month. tried to explain to her our concern (financially) but she still kind of wants her way. don't wish to go against that because I'm worry might be seeing her black face... but I feel, baby is mine, so me and my husband should have th say instead of her. :/ I feel so not respected as my LO's parent.....

No matter who is right or wrong now you are facing issue of who will give in. So it’s up to you whether wanna be right or wanna give in.

Hi, i believe this is because of the generation gap that we have. best is to get your husband to talk to her about what you want to do

If she insists. Plan 1st month for only close relatives. So cost wise will be lower. Then 100 days, invite friends and colleagues.

Talk to your husband, maybe can try to explain to her that 1 month baby immune not v good. Best is to avoid crowd.

I'm planning to do 100days too! Not sure how long this phase 2 is gonna last, dont think 100days is possible.
