If termination of pregnancy is never an option, is there any importance to go through this screening?

I did for both of my pregnancy and it is more for awareness and mental preparedness if baby is positive for it. Then we can learn and have heads up what to do and expect.
I had the same thinking as you did during my pregnancy. But went for it in the end as we wanted to be mentally prepared should bb be high risk for DS
