Metabolic screening test and hearing test

Hi Mummies, would like to check if it is necessary to do these test for newborn baby? And anyone have opt to do it, please share your advice too. Thank you 💕#advicepls

I thought these are standard tests for newborns? I was given an option at KKH.. I was informed the nurses would be whisking my boy away for these tests and return him in awhile...

I delivered at TMC and they didn’t ask us if we wanted to do or not. I guess it’s the standard procedure for baby so all the above was done by them during my stay. :)

Its optional but the doc told me its to help to test and see if there are any conditions that may cause seizure/ development delays in the baby.

I believe these are standard tests for newborns that are done while they are still in the hospital after birth

I delivered at mt e novena. Was given a choice whether to do anot and we did :)
