breast feeding

i used to pump and feed my lo ebm for a month. however, now she manage to latch on with assistance from my husband (he helps to hold the baby so i can place the areola in better). now I'm wondering if my lo can really latch on and no longer needs to drink from the bottle, would i still need to pump?

Latch/feed on demand if you are going for latching. Eventually you will get the routine time that your LO need to latch. If LO is hungry, she will “ask” for more. You may need to pump or hand express when LO is sleeping/napping. The more you clear by either pumping or hand express, or LO latch the breastmilk, the more your breast will produce breastmilk. My girl was direct latching since birth till 15 months(till she bites.. ) In between I will hand express the milk out.

If you want to build a supply, you can pump.
