9 weeks and baby has no heartbeat

Hi, I am suppose to be 11 weeks today but yesterday we went for our checkup and the gynae told us that the baby stop growing at 9 weeks and there's no more heartbeat. The doctor gave us 2 options, the pill or the operation. Will these affect the fertility or the womb after ? Should I seek for a second opinion ?

I am so sorry for your loss, take your time to heal. I had a missed miscarriage in March this year, found out right at 12 weeks that the baby stopped growing around week 9. I was devastated but the doctor assured me that my fertility is not affected and since I naturally got pregnant once, it would happen again (even though I’m well over 37 years old). I had to use the pill to clear my womb after the natural clearing. It’s been a trying year, but we’re finally pregnant again (5 weeks). So trust me, your fertility will be fine, whichever you choose. Give your body time to heal ❣️

Thank you 🙏🏽

Sorry for your loss my dear. I had to terminate my pregnancy due to birth defect after FTS. My gynae suggested to take pill. Unlike many other pill termination , she mentioned she try not to use operation to force open my cervix as she is worried when I conceived in the future. I didn’t exactly remember the reason but in the end we chose for pill. All went well, and 2-3 months after the termination , I am pregnant again and I am in my 3rd trimester now! All the best to you! ❤️❤️❤️

Oh yes ! I was told the same too, chance of fertility is higher after the surgery. I am currently seeing a TCM to "adjust" my body too.

Sorry for your loss, I agree with the other comment. You may see another doctor if you’re in doubt. It’s good to have second opinion. Double check before you decide to do the procedure. But pill or surgery wont affect fertility and/or the womb. The pill will just expel the fetus, you will have a period-like blood once it’s out.

Sorry for the loss. No harm to seek for second opinion. Just remember to take care and eat well to recuperate your health before trying to conceive again. No rush in trying for a baby. What matters most is you're healthy and baby is healthy too

Do what is best and comfy for you and your spouse. It is okay to grieve now, and move on. Jiayou girl!

When in doubt, no harm seeking for a second opinion. Sorry for your loss
