I reported to MOM regarding my pregnancy dismissal. However, it has been more than a month and there is no news from them at all. Heard that MOM usually only "for show" and doesnt make any action unless the issue has became serious/big, as a couple of friends encountered that. Anyone experienced similar issue too?

You should contact MOM again. Based on what I heard through HR vine, regardless of what valid reason, HRs won't fire during pregnancy especially after 1st trimester to 2 months after delivery. This is typically a no-no period. MOM does follow this kind of case very closely. However, the typical market practice is to fire you when you come back (which is kind already as the more norm way is to piss you till you quit yourself). Under that circumstances, employers seem to have upper hand. To begin with, most European companies won't do this kind of shitty thing due to EU practices. American companies not much. Locals, depends. Please contact MOM again. They do follow up this kind of cases with tangible result. I don't agree with your remark about "show-show" only; at least not for this kind of situation.
