you can change by giving petion to government after that u can post in the familiar newspaper that so and.so name have been changed. After that name have been changed in official gazzete

Should be able to get a deed poll done to change his name on ic next time. I did that as an adult so my birth certificate is old name but my ic is new name. You can Google for more info

You can change name. But some formalities are there. You have to give application and change name in gazzate publication
