I had a C-Section delivery and am taking longer than required to recover. My MIL is refusing to help out with the baby saying that I am faking my problems. This is causing great distress and affecting my elder child too. Please suggest how to handle the situation.

Oh! I can't believe that your MIL says that you are faking it. Anyway, I think till the time you do not feel completely fine, either keep a full time help or call someone from your parents side to assist you. You can speak to your husband and see what he suggests. May be he has a better plan. I hope he too is not like his mother. And the best is shift to your parent's house, as there you will be taken care well.

just the Indian MIL who feels a daughter in law is always lying.... get a full-time help and get your hubby in confidence...am sure he will understand...else, if it's a possibility, please move to your parents' place for a year or so, if your elder one can also go with you and attend school from there
