How not to be affected my someone’s expectation of our baby’s gender.

I dowanna say who but it’s always that person when it comes to us women. Haha. I dowanna rant but i have to. So like husband and i are verryyyy happy that we are having a girl. We already have a boy. This is my fourth pregnancy and this is the second time this person is disappointed that we’re having a girl. This person’s time is over and had many sons. Whyyyyyyyy is this person expecting that i have sons as welllllllll. And then wont contain the disappointment when we revealed that it’s not a boy. I just wish this person never have to know the gender before baby is born and spoil my mood and pregnancy joy. But theres no way i can hide this pregnancy. Aaaarghhhhh!!!!!!!!

Hais. I'm sorry that you're subjected to such old fashioned thinking, and that's even after already having a boy. Unfortunately, there's nothing much you can do. Old people's mindsets regarding gender preferences are already fixed, there isnt anything you can do to change it. Just keep away from this person as much as you can (hard as it is), and try not to take her opinions to heart. Men need women to procreate, so unless men can do it themselves, having girls is absolutely necessary. And girls are more caring to their parents in general. Have pity that this person probably didnt experience that coz of the overwhelming bias for boys.
