I am 17mths post-partum and have been fully bfing my daughter. My menses came back when I was 9mths pp. Since last Monday, I noticed my milk supply has dropped from usual 360ml to only 290ml (when I pump at work). I am not an oversupply mom to start with. Any idea why the drastic drop in supply? Is it possible to build back my supply or can I re-establish my supply? Thanks!

One of the reasons is hormonal changes. A drop in blood calcium levels during menstruation can lead to drop of your milk supply. There are some ways to help increase your milk supply, such taking calcium/magnesium supplement during menstruation, eating oatmeal (or oatmeal lactation cookies as alternative) and drink fenugreek. The last two suggestions are quite popular among breastfeeding moms. You can read more here:http://exclusivepumping.com/2013/12/28/what-you-can-do-when-your-period-tanks-your-milk-supply/
