How do your prepare your #1 for another sibling?

we told him as soon as #2 is conceived. everyday we will tell him what it was like when he was still in my tummy. he was excited at every appt and I let him touch the tummy when there's movement. we also brought #1 to buy a toy for #2 and secretly buy another one for #1 for them to exchange during their first meet up at the hospital.

Once i discovered about my pregnancy, i kept telling my #1 that there is a baby in mummy's tummy. I brought him along to my gynae appointments too. But even with all the explaining, during the day of baby #2 arrival. My #1 still took some time to adapt. so slowly.

Give 90% to the number1 as he/she already knows and remember not to give numbers2 too much attention talk through with your number 1 he/she will get through
