How to train my 9 months old to drink from a cup? Or is it too early to train ?

mybaby knew the word water eversince thats why 3 days ago i tried to shift from spoon to drinking cup whenever he's thirsty and he is drinking water 3 days now thru cup, i didn't find it hard for him to cope up just train him with the calmness of your voice.
