A caesarean is a major operation, so don't push yourself too soon. The first six weeks after the operation is a time for healing. Don't do any strenuous exercise or heavy lifting in the first couple of months. However, you can begin practising your pelvic floor exercises as soon as you feel up to it. It will be good to check with your doctor before doing anything strenuous.

Ideally, it is about 6 months. External wound may be heal but internal is something that we can't see and wouldn't want to take the risk. You may start slow by brisk walking then gradually increase the intensity.
