How old was your kid when you first decided to leave him with parents/ caregivers and go on a holiday alone?

My friends usually wait till the one year mark has passed before leaving baby with their parents while they jet off for a mini holiday somewhere over the weekend. They waited till baby is a bit older before joining them on their travels because they wanted baby to be comfortable and enjoy the experience with them and actually remember the holiday when they're older. But they have no qualms on taking baby on a road trip across the Causeway, just not the plane for the time being.

My child was 6 months when my husband has to work overseas and I travelled with him! :) my motto then was "let it go, let it go" but I really loved it and enjoyed myself.. :)
