I use Baby Kick Counter & Monitor. My dr did not mention anything about counting kicks. He just asks me each appointment if the baby is moving ok. However because of my own concerns about stillbirth, I decided to count kicks. On days when the baby is clearly very active, I would skip on the counting. I do try to count about the same time each day. Sometimes I would count when I feel like I haven’t felt the baby kick for a while. A movement followed by an interval of 1-2min should be 2 movements. If there’s many movements in a single second I would usually count it as 1.

I use the baby kick tracker on this app so I don’t clutter my phone w too many apps and also it’s more fuss free. It’s sufficient for the purposes :) I click plus 1 everytime baby kicks (whilst I am awake, so not when I am asleep or half asleep at night). Initially I couldn’t tell what time of kick it was, so I click I don’t know, but my gfs are right that as u get further along, u can figure out better if it’s a swoosh, turn or kick etc 😂 it’s quite fun and I use it as a way to interact w baby.

the asianparent app kick tracker is sufficient and quite intuitive to use. can even track whether if it’s a kick, punch, or just a roll. track once in the day and in the evening when baby is awake. no need specific timing. one movement is one kick, there can be consecutive movements in a minute, count those as one each even though it’s few seconds apart.
