How often do you apply diaper cream? And until lo how old you stop applying?

I apply desitin after her bath every night as a protective barrier to prevent diaper rash since the diaper will last through the night. So far 3 months and no diaper rash at all. In the day sometimes will apply qv barrier cream as desitin is quite strong.
