how long do toddlers (18-24mo) take to get used to childcare and stop crying at drop off?

It really depends on every child. They may be fine for few months. After a long weekend or holiday, they may start the crying at drop off again. My elder been in school for 2 years. recently he started crying again cause i started putting my younger into the same school. So every morning i have to deal with two crying kids

Mine cries momentarily at the point of separation but stops soon after. There was once ( after a few days ) he didn't , looked like want to cry , but didn't. But after that he cried everyday. But since it's just a bit and not prolonged , I think ok la. It's been a mth

Initially he cried pretty long, about 10 minutes I think. Really struggled. First thing he wake up say don't want to go to school. I literally had to drag him to school. It gets better. Hang on dear, I totally understand how you feel.

It takes a long time esp if the teachers are not nice... Mine took everyday... Until I switched sch n the teachers v nice and he stopped crying

Hmm mine took a year. Don't ask me why. However, consistently repeating the routine will help him. Don't give up. You are not alone.
