How do you know baby is ready for food? Wil the polyclinic tells u during one of the checks or have to bring to pd at 6 months?

Every baby is different. Traditionally the recommendation is 6 months. Baby needs to be able to sit up without flopping down (can be supported in the high chair), and should also show an interest in your food when you’re eating. Some people may start earlier at 4 months, but if baby’s not interested so early, no need to force. Also start off with very small amounts of puree.. the mainstay of nutrition at the beginning is still milk
