How do I explain race to my mixed race child? I am chinese, my husband is indian.

Do not avoid race-talk when he is curious. Explain that people have parts of each of their parents and that's what makes them special. Take out a recent photo of her/him and ask her/him what parts of her look like you and what looks more like her/his dad. And then ask what parts look like neither and then explain that is what a mixture is, part mommy and part daddy.
