Advice please

Hello, I am a new mom and I live in the Netherlands. I have little or no experience on how to raise a child but I can say I am pretty good so far. My son always cries when I put him on his bed and it is really difficult to see him cry and do nothing about it. My husband said it will be difficult to get him to sleep in his room in the future and we tend to argue about that a lot. I am just confused and worried and I don't know if it's okay to allow him to cry for a while. And I always have issues with my husband because he says I don't give him attention anymore and he is kind of right but I really don't know how to divide my attention right now because it's really a lot to take care of a baby. I need your advice please, and friends as well because I have no friends here in the Netherlands I just recently moved here ?
