For solid food/puree it will be from 6 months onwards. You can do homemade recipe or you can buy Cerelac. Give twice/three times a day like morning, lunch, dinner. Depend on your LO food intake. This has to be well balance with formula/breast milk.
Well for some mummies they do give but in small portion. However, up to individual mummies preferences because if you do not want to risk it then better not. Otherwise you can.
