ask your OB, I did ask mine and said its okay as long as organic and ammonia-free, preferably 2nd trimester onwards and you do it at home, not on salon, on a well ventilated area so you wont smell if it has foul odor. Scientifically its safe coz just too little chemical can be absorbed on your scalp and wont reach your baby..its just the strong chemical smell at salons that is not advisable. Also do a patch skin test first to make sure you wont have allergic reactions. Still, best to consult your OB
