For Pinoy moms, though we now live in the modern society, do you still believe in urban legends like "usog" or "balis"?

No, I don't, although my parents still believe in it. Sometimes, it annoys me that they still have to enforce those kinds of belief, even if I tell them that it isn't true and present them science-backed statements. One time, my dad prohibited us to join our family reunion in the province because of "usog." And his usual line will always be "wala namang mawawala kung susunod." I wanted to tell him that the moments were lost, the time that we should've been together with our family while enjoying—those were all gone to waste because of one belief that isn't true at all.

I'm still neutral about it. Before, I really do not believe in it but now that I am living with my husband's family whose a firm believer of usog, I just can't help but believe them.
